Tour Details

This historic tour at the grounds of the National Heritage Park Clifton will take you on an authentic journey into the heart of The Bahamas’ historical and cultural heritage. At Clifton National Heritage Park, you will be greeted by the historic ruins of  the Whylly Plantation.

This national park is full of historic tracks and facts, and it was once part of an unsuccessful plantation that the British took over after being defeated in the war of independence against the United States in the 18th century. At the park you will see the ruins of the buildings where the slaves lived, this historic land was inhabited by the first humans who walked on these islands, the Lucayans; they were a branch of the Tainos who were the first ones to have contact with Christopher Columbus upon his historic arrival on this part of the world! This historic tour will allow you to experience the mystical atmosphere of this sacred land, and to experience history. You will surely be able to take breath taken videos and photos.
